To glaze or not to glaze...that is the question

Morning by the Park -oil on canvas14x18
Can you see the difference of these two paintings...let me give you a hint, it's a subtle colour shift. The one on the right is pinker.

I completed  'Morning by the Park' with a rather bright cool spring light effect, but I'm feeling like maybe it needs a little warming up and so am considering adding a glaze.  Of course it's quite wet now, so the glaze will have to wait for a few days before I can apply it.  In the meantime I thought I'd ask public opinion.  Do you prefer it as is(on the left), or do you prefer it warmer(on the right)?

  1. Hello Sally. I prefer it as it is as the cooler color makes me think of an early morning with a slight haze.

  2. thank you Jane! I appreciate your feedback. It's easy to second guess yourself when working on a piece for too long. Having given it time and space to perculate for a while, I feel fine about leaving it as is, and will not bother glazing this one. thanks for helping me.

  3. Both are great -- and I'm a fan of the warm. So you do whatever you like best and it will be wonderful.

    XOXOXOXOXO Barbara

  4. thanks Barbara, i am usually a fan of warm too...I think that's why I had a hard time leaving it, but I have decided to, and now it is framed and in the gallery:)
