non representational

Untitled - oil on canvas - 26x20
So on second thought I've decided to retract a post I made earlier today, about the Paris massacre and my feelings about the way it's being covered in the media. I'd rather keep this blog for art.
Non representational was the only way to go in the studio today.

  3. I've enjoyed seeing the looser styles in your last few posts Sally - looks like you had a lot of fun with them.
I agree with you about forcing the colours of the hydrangea as being a little fake. But like you, I also love the look of the blue ones. It's amazing how many shades they come in.
I hope you are off to a great start with the new year!!

  4. hi Wendy, thanks for your kind comments re my looser styles. I doubt I'll ever really be an abstract painter, as I just love designing things so much...i feel like the 'lets see where it takes me approach' feels a little pointless...but when I'm upset non representational is about the only way I can work....think it's because it is feels therapeutic, all process and no plan.
