Our house goes on the market next week.  First baby step towards retirement. A bag of mixed feelings. We have loved this place, so many happy memories.  But, it's time.  Memories shouldn't become more important than our dreams. We are excited about our 5 year plan to move out to Vancouver Island.  And so the downsizing begins. With lots on my agenda in readying the house for sale, I haven't had energy or inspiration for big works.  I've been satisfying my creative muse with some small acrylic poetry chicks. hee hee.  Here's two.

  1. Oh my goodness! That's an exciting move! I'd like to know more about Vancouver Island... when you have a chance to post. Good luck with the sale and I love the E.D. Quote and the little bird!

    1. Hi Katherine,
We wont actually move to Vancouver Island for a few years yet, but we thought we'd get the house on the market early, so when we are ready to "get out of Dodge" we can leave when we want. Thanks for your nice comment!

    1. yes it IS exciting to be making dreams at this point in our lives. I mean, why NOT do what we want to do? We're excited. Happy to hear that your move and start over was successful and you feel good about it. Glad you like the wee chickadee. I love them, and now even more because they're Massachusetts state bird:)

    1. yes Wendy, never to late to make new plans:)... hee hee. Quite a few of Dave's family lives out there, and I have a brother in Vancouver. My eldest daughter Holly is also moving there too, only she will beat us out there. It's about the only place in Canada that doesn't get long cold winters...more temperate, like England out there.
Turns out that others liked the little birds because after the weekend both of them are now sold.
